While at Waseda University he built several iOS apps as an engineer, reaching over 1M cumulative downloads before selling the business. He then served as a Product Manager at Mercari's US and UK offices. After Mercari, he joined Babel as Executive Officer of Product, building a global product team from scratch; the face-swap AI app he developed surpassed several million downloads worldwide within six months.
OUR TEAM
GOAT hires top engineers from Indonesia. We recruit only engineers with 5+ years of experience and hands-on roles at unicorns such as GoTo (Gojek Tokopedia), Traveloka, Bukalapak, OVO, and Blibli.com. All are fluent English speakers — by providing the 'excellent, English-speaking engineers' that are hard to find in Japan, we power our clients' global expansion.
